So Chinese New Year holiday has come to an end and everybody is getting back to work...Last year was the year of the dragon which is supposed to be the best year of the cycle and now we are n the year of the snake which is supposed to be the worst year. I don't know the reasons for it. I didn't do much over the break except relax. I spent a lot of time with friends. The biggest problem was that during the break everyone is on vacation. Now when I say everyone...I mean everyone. Every single resuarant and shop was closed. Even the marketplace was closed. There was nothing around my residential complex that was open. I had to travel around town just to find something to eat. I took a couple of random pictures of random sights over the break.....an "only in china" album. We did the soccer/rugby game last Saturday and rugby team won the soccer game and the soccer team won the rugby match..now, since I play both I played on the rugby team during soccer and the soccer team during rugby....I won both games. I had a try(a touchdown in rugby) and a goal. We have a Beijing team coming down on Friday for a weekend soccer games...possibly two. So I have some responsibilities to prepare for that this weekend. And then I start work back up tonight. So I have to be getting into the swing of things.

So they paint the bottom of the trees white here and sometimes they wrap them in gold foil or something of the sort
So this is a newly built complex and they have wrapped the trees with black netting for another reason...maybe they are not ready to show off the beauty of the trees yet?
A 3 self church close to downtown kunming
This is a dinosaur "thing" in the downtown area that i found while i was walking around one night...it is completely random...the owner probably saw something that had dinos in it and he decided that he wanted one for his mall....
